OLOLCH

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) raise funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to children across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care. Since 1983, CMNH has raised more than $5 billion; it’s various funding partners and programs support the nonprofit’s mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital (OLOLCH) in Baton Rouge is our local CMNH. OLOLCH offers a full-service, freestanding hospital, more than 80 specialists in over 25 specialties, more than 100 pediatricians, five specialty clinics across the state of Louisiana, a leading Pediatric Residency Program, and a wide breadth of community education and resources. The call to serve children is unique, and the medical care required for pediatric patients is extremely specialized. Kids are not just small adults; they require 40% more care than adults and should be treated by pediatric-trained physicians and nurses to ensure the highest quality of care in a warm, loving, and kid-friendly environment. OLOLCH understands this need and answers the call to give children this special care.

The new, freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital opened in Baton Rouge in October 2019. It is located between Essen Lane and Bluebonnet Boulevard off of 1-10. The new hospital will has more than 350,000 square feet of patient care space, double the amount of surgical space and intensive care beds, expanded state-of-the-art emergency department, and a playroom on every floor.
